Whether or not you can be in Rome, you can accompany me with your prayer. In addition, for anyone who asks, I describe how to help with the costs.
First and above all
Pray for me
I'm happy to receive any and all prayer that I can get! Below, I mention a few excellent ways to pray.
Offer a Mass
Ask your parish to offer a Mass for my intentions — for perseverance, for the grace of the ordination, and for the people I will serve as a priest.
Pray a Rosary
Our Lady has a way of obtaining vocations. A single Rosary offered for me is a wonderful gift.
Offer a Communion
The next time you receive Communion, you might simply offer it for me — for my fidelity, and for that of the other priests with whom I will be ordained.

Two ways to give
I am also grateful for any financial contributions you might like to make towards my ordination. I'm grateful for cards or other personal touches (such as invitations to a gelato in Rome!), but financial contributions are usually more versatile than other physical gifts.
A. The ordination itself
About $5,000 total
After the diaconal ordination I will usually wear a clergyman's collar or a cassock, so that anyone who sees me knows a priest is close by. There are also costs tied to using the Basilica and to a live video transmission of the ordination so that those who can't travel can still watch. Contributions toward these costs are welcome via:

B. Priestly formation in Rome
Six years, close to $200,000 total
Formation for the priesthood here in Rome runs six years and costs close to $200,000 all told — tuition and living expenses together, which is considerably more economical than a comparable six years at a university in the US. Thanks to the generosity of many donors around the world, I will not have to cover this out of pocket. But further gifts toward it are still very welcome, and are made by international bank transfer. I'll send the details by email rather than posting account or routing numbers on this page.
